Our Rutherglen encounters can be a couple of days or a stopover on the way from Australia's East Coast where we visit All Saints Estate and St Leonards Vineyard, for their fantastic food, wine and in particular their famous fortified wines. We taste the extraordinary Museum Muscat and Muscadelle, two of Australia's greatest fortified wines as well as museum vintages from their range. We will also explore their cellar of French, Italian, Portugese and Spanish wines.
On longer encounters, we can visit some of the other great wineries and restaurants of the region including Morris, Chambers, Campbells, Buller and Stanton & Kileen. The names speak to the old world history of this beautiful region, which was once home to Australia's most notorious bushranger, Ned Kelly.
